The Nordic Plate Recipe

Ingredients for 1 Serving:
- 2 slices of smoked salmon
- 1 or 2 potatoes (depending on size)
- A few slices of avocado
- Light and fresh sauce:
- 2 oz (50 g) cottage cheese
- 1 tbsp light cream
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- A few sprigs of chives, finely chopped
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
- 1 small garlic clove, finely grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Ingredients for 4 Servings:
- 8 slices of smoked salmon
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 avocado (or more, to taste)
- Light and fresh sauce:
- 7 oz (200 g) cottage cheese
- 2 tbsp light cream
- A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- Chives, mint, garlic, salt, and pepper as listed above
Optional:
- Shrimp (fresh or cooked) for an elegant touch
Preparation:
1. Prepare the Potatoes:
- Wash and peel the potatoes.
- Boil them until tender (about 15 minutes).
- Let them cool, then slice them into thin rounds.
2. Make the Light Sauce:
- In a bowl, mix the cottage cheese and light cream.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresh, tangy flavor.
- Stir in the chopped chives, mint (if using), and grated garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Chill until ready to serve.
3. Assemble the Plate:
- Arrange the potato slices neatly on a plate.
- Add a few creamy avocado slices.
- Place the smoked salmon slices elegantly on the plate.
- Add a dollop of the fresh sauce in the center or on the side.
